Illuminae – SciFi mit ein paar kleinen Makeln
Illuminae, oder auch Illuminae Files #01 ist eine englische Buchreihe, die vorallem durch ihr Innenleben punktet. Das Buch ist voller toller Seiten, die einfach nur genial gestaltet sind. Das macht das Lesen allerdings etwas komplizierter. Somit hätten wir den Schwachpunkt des Buchs auch sofort abgehackt. Geschrieben ist das Buch im Stil von E-Mail oder Transkripts eines Verhörs. Es gibt viele schwarze Seiten, auf denen wenig Text steht und viele geniale Bilder aus Wörtern. Von Innen ist das Buch also 100% genial und gelungen. Die Story an sich ist auch nicht schlecht, aber man kann ihr teilweise schwer folgen.
Mit Kady als Protagonistin wurde ich anfangs nicht wirklich warm. Sie war mir zu… Kalt? Ich glaube nicht, dass das das richtige Wort ist. Vielleicht zickig? Ich kann es nicht auf den Punkt bringen, aber Ezra war mir um einiges lieber.
Sobald man aber den Anfang der Story überwunden hat, den ich selber gerne mal als langweilig empfand, wird das Buch spannend. Man will wissen, was sich in dieser Kolonie abspielt, wie es dazu kam und wieso, weshalb, warum alles so ist, wie es ist.
Falls ihr gerne Englisch lest und nichts gegen ein leicht verwirrendes Buch habt, dann solltet ihr euch dieses hier zu legen. Soweit ich das gesehen habe, soll es aber auch verfilmt werden. Dann kann man der Story sicher noch besser folgen.
